A brief History of College

In the year 1977 some service minded people of Bareilly thought to serve in the field of education, medical, personality development and how to be a good citizen of our great country. To fulfill this dream they decided to join an international platform the Lions Club of International which was serving the world with the motto of "We Serve".

To make their dream a reality it was thought fit to open a club in the name and style of Lions Club Rohila. The word Rohila was felt necessary to add because our region was basically derived from the Rohila's, who ruled this area and glorified it. The day Lions Club Rohila came in to existence, the members never forgot their motive of sowing seed the seed and started serving the society in the field of health. The Club organised charitable camps for Eye Operations and health services to the povertystricken, downtrodden and under privileged people of the society.

The journey of club did not stop here as the members wanted to spread more happiness among society so they felt to educate the poor and downtrodden society of Bareilly, especially for those who were not in position to afford expensive education system in Bareilly. Accordingly small school up to class V Lions Rohila Bal Vidya Mandir was started after hiring a small house in Janakpuri Bareilly in 1979.

The vision and idea of members proved very faithful and it was very successful and soon words started to spread and lots of people of Bareilly started bringing their kids to get enrolled in our school. The fragrance of services diffused more and the list of beneficiaries started to grow.

But since ou resources and infrastructure was very limited, hence the honorable members of the club considered and thought if they wanted to give wings to more kids to fullfill their flight of dreams then they have to enlarge the sky but it will not be possible to do in same such as small existing premises. Hence, they approached to the U.P. State Government to provide a suitable piece of land for nurturing their dream. For this U.P. State Government was kind enough to allot a very prime location plot in the heart of city, Janakpuri Bareilly.

Accordingly the land was purchased and got registered with the generous help of all the members. With the gradual efforts, the school was upgraded to class VIII and finally upgraded to Inter College in all streams in year 2000 and than Lions Rohila Inter College became the first college in Bareilly with U.P.
